The Various Roles of a Community Manager

A question I get asked a lot by my friends is, “what exactly do you do as a community manager?” I always have a tough time answering this question because there are so many definitions out there that exist for community management. It also seems that the role of a community manager depends on the community they manage or the company they work for. My answer always seems to change with the weather.

I then recently came across this cool infographic from SocialFish which I think does a good job of visually explaining some of the various roles of a community manager. So the next time someone asks me what I do, I’ll just point them to this infographic.
